Some problems and issues include anxiety, depression, relational problems, family problems, academic problems, parenting difficulties, divorce and separation adjustment, trauma, childhood abuse, bereavement, behavioral issues, and life transitions. Psychotherapy outcomes are measured and re-assessed during therapy to monitor progress and assess goals for treatment.
We provide the following psychotherapy services:
- Adult Individual Therapy
- Child and Adolescent Therapy
- Parent Counseling
- Group Therapy
- Couple Therapy
Our treatment approach emphasizes a Cognitive-Behavioral orientation with a specific focus on evidence-based intervention techniques including virtual reality and exposure therapy, behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
Therapy services provided by doctoral students are video recorded for the purpose of training in order to facilitate the supervision process. In addition, licensed clinical faculty and staff provide confidential treatment and evaluations to selected client populations.
The first step in the psychotherapy treatment process is to complete a brief screening and set up an initial intake meeting. Clients’ needs are assessed during an initial intake meeting to match clients to clinicians with specialized skills. We do not provide crisis or walk-in services.
